Garage Sale!

Well, today was Garage Sale Day at Cassy & Chris's house. What a huge dud! I made a whopping $2.50 after spending 2 hours Friday night gathering and pricing, then driving out to their house, spending half my day there hot and sweaty, and then still having 90% of my stuff left! The only redeeming part of the day was spending time with my darling grandson, Hayden. Oh well, maybe some more stuff will go next Friday, my 38th wedding anniversary and I probably won't be there, or when I have my own garage sale next month. In either case, I was reminded G'sales are lots of work, little ROI, but fun!!

Cat Eating Canteloupe

I should be embarrassed to post this, but how funny is this! My cat, Maggie, loves cantaloupe! After leaving the eaten shell on the table I turned around and here she is slurping away! Can anyone relate? I hope so!

Our Precious Piper

Better late than never - After ignoring my blog for a number of months - we welcomed Piper Ann Goodenow into the world a little early. Born January 19, 2009, weighing in at 6.6 lbs and 19 long, she surprised us all. A beautiful little blonde just like her mommy, but we all agree she does look a lot like Dad!

Wedding Bells

Wedding Bells will be ringing June 26th! Scott will be getting married, finally, to Justina Jenks. As the song goes, God Bless the broken road that led me straight to you, or something like that! Anyway, reunited after 10+ years, the "I Do's" will be said. We are all looking forward to this blessed event.

Another Girl!

Yes, we are expecting another girl. Cassy & Chris will welcome a little bundle of pink in October! We couldn't be happier! No definite on the name yet.

Scott's Birthday

We celebrated Scott's 33rd birthday on Sunday, little late - his actual birthday is September 26th - as he was on a camping/fishing trip with his dad and brother-in-law, Chris, in the Adirondack Mts. in upstate NY. We had a wonderful family get together complete with more food than a family should have! Plenty of noise, laughter and the traditional "horrible" birthday song! Gotta love it!

I Just Recently Finished Reading....

"The Shack" by William Young. A very sad, yet interesting, fiction book. I don't know quite what to think about it yet (I now don't like ladybugs!) but I have a whole new way of looking at and thinking about the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I recommend it highly.
